Occasionally we receive notification that genuine emails we've sent to our customers have been incorrectly blocked by SPAM filter. To ensure you're able to receive all emails we send, please make sure that our address noreply@thetrainline.com is listed as a safe sender and not in a blocked mail list.

Confirmations are not essential for travel. All your booking information can be found online by logging into My Account and clicking on Check your order status.

Please allow sufficient time for your ticket to be delivered. We recommend…

• allow 5 working days from the date of purchase for 1st class post.
• allow 48 hours from the time of purchase for Next day delivery.
• wait until 5pm for same day delivery.

If you’ve left us a contact number then we will try to contact you to arrange delivery.

If we are unable to contact you and the courier is unable to leave the tickets with somebody, the courier will attempt to deliver at a later time.

Where in the UK do Royal Mail deliver

Royal Mail deliver most items the next working day by 1pm on Mondays to Fridays (except public and bank holidays). They sometimes deliver on Saturdays if the item arrives at our local delivery office that day, but we can't guarantee delivery.

We now offer same day delivery to customers in the London area for £10 or £15 depending on your postcode. Tickets are delivered within 2 to 4 hours of purchase confirmation.

Within an hour of booking we will publish your Special Delivery tracking number which can be found by logging into My Account then click on Check your order status.

You can use this reference with Track & Trace, the Royal Mail service that lets you check the status of a trackable item that you sent through the post. To use this service please visit www.royalmail.com/portal/rm/track

For business addresses, there should be someone available on site to accept and sign delivery up until 6pm Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays).  As we require a signature on delivery, we cannot deliver to Post Office Boxes.

You can choose from a number of delivery options, these are:

Self Service Ticket Machine: will be ready for collection 2 hours after ordering.  Click Here for further details.

1st Class Post: tickets ordered before 3pm will be dispatched the same day. To allow for Royal Mail delivery, tickets must be booked at least 4 postal days prior to travel.

Next Day Delivery (£7.50) Tickets ordered before 3pm will be delivered by 1pm the next working day. (Monday to Friday excluding Bank holidays). Orders placed on Saturday or Sunday are fulfilled on Monday & delivered on Tuesday.

Same Day Delivery (£10-£15): will be delivered between 2 and 4 hours after the cut off time of 9am, Midday and 3pm.

It is not possible to change the delivery address after the booking has been confirmed.
